Custom software development built around your company
Custom software development means building a web tool around the way you work: a client portal, team scheduling, inventory management, project tracking or a dashboard. I build it in 2-week sprints, with a working demo you can test at the end of each one, and the code belongs to you once the invoice is paid.

What changes for you
Signs your tools are holding you back
- 01
Five spreadsheets, and only one colleague knows which is current.
The day they're on vacation, nobody can find the schedule or the order status.
- 02
Software you pay for every month and use half of.
It does a hundred things, but not the one you need, so you handle that one on the side, by hand.
- 03
Clients who call to ask where their file stands.
The information exists on your side. What's missing is a place where they could see it themselves.
Before you start
Custom software or off-the-shelf?
If an existing product does almost everything you need, keep it and connect it. Custom software makes sense when the way you work is your edge.
| Criterion | Off-the-shelf software | Custom software |
|---|---|---|
| Getting started | Immediate | Several 2-week sprints |
| Cost | Per-user subscription, every month | Fixed-price build, then hosting |
| Fit | You adapt to the tool | The tool follows your steps and your vocabulary |
| Ownership | With the vendor | The code and data are yours, once the invoice is paid |
| New features | Decided by the vendor | Decided by you |
What I build
Custom internal tools you open every day
I always start with the screen people use most. The rest comes after, sprint by sprint.
- 01
Client portal
Your clients log in to follow their file, download their documents and upload their own. Fewer calls, fewer "where are we at?" emails.
- 02
Team scheduling
Who is where, on which job, with which vehicle. Edited by the manager, viewed on the phone by the team.
- 03
Inventory and orders
Stock in, stock out, alert thresholds and supplier orders, connected to your invoicing instead of a copied spreadsheet.
- 04
Dashboard and custom CRM
Sales, open quotes, margins, delays, the status of each client: numbers pulled from your tools, up to date, on one screen.
- 05
SaaS product
Have an idea for software to sell to other companies? I build a first version you can sell, with accounts, subscriptions and an admin area.
How it works
How long does custom software take?
Several 2-week sprints. The number depends on the screens and connections; it is set in the quote, along with what each sprint delivers.

I prepare a mockup of the main screens based on your spreadsheets and current tools.

You test the mockup with your usual cases. We adjust the screens and roles (who sees what) together.

The screens, the data, the roles, the sprint plan and a fixed price.

Each sprint ends with a demo on an online version. You test it with your real data.

Your existing data is imported, we go live together and your team gets a walkthrough. Code, access and documentation handed over.
Tools and technology
Widely used technology, on purpose
I pick tools that many developers know, so someone else can take over the code if you ever need it.
- TypeScript, React, Next.jsweb application
- Runs in the browser, on a computer or a phone, with nothing to install.
- PostgreSQL, Supabasedatabase
- A standard, exportable database with role-based access. Hosted in the region your data needs to stay in when the service allows it.
- APIs and n8nconnections
- The software plugs into your invoicing, your CRM or your calendar instead of replacing them.
- GitHubcode and history
- The code lives in a repository in your name, with the history of every change.
Honestly
When custom software is not the answer
It's for you if
- the way you work is specific, and it's what sets you apart;
- you can name one person to test each demo;
- you're willing to start with a smaller first version.
It's not for you if
- an off-the-shelf product already does almost everything you need;
- you want to replace a full ERP or payroll software: that's a different trade;
- you want everything, right away, with no intermediate step.
Frequently asked questions
Custom software: your questions
How much does custom software cost?
The price depends on the number of screens, user roles and connections to your tools. The fixed-price quote arrives at the end of the demo of your free mockup, broken down sprint by sprint. Any addition is agreed in writing before it is built.
Who owns the software?
You do, once the invoice is paid. The code is in a repository in your name, and the database and hosting are on your accounts. At delivery, you also get the documentation and access.
Can I bring over the data from my spreadsheets?
Yes. Moving your existing data is included in the quote. I clean up duplicates and show you the result before go-live.
What happens if you are no longer available?
The code uses widely known technology and is documented. Any developer who knows it can take it over. That is one of the reasons I hand everything over at delivery.
Will the software work on a phone?
Yes, in the phone's browser, with nothing to install. If your team needs to work offline or take photos, a mobile app can complement the tool.
